Introduction: The great Sea, in the beginning, was full of life and bustling with sea creatures. Four pods existed together harmoniously; Auburn Cove, Turquoise Sea, Volcanic Waves, and Murky Waters. The baleen and predator whales were at peace, and mingled with one another. Then, the pods slowly slipped in numbers, one by one.
Murky Waters was the first to go. Sharks had always been in its realm, but they were always submissive to the whales. Unexpectedly, the sharks' numbers rocketed and soon they rose in rebellion. It was a quiet, sneaky rebellion. They would ambush first the old and then the young when they were alone and out of the pod's territory. Soon the whales' numbers dropped to nothing, and Murky Waters was left empty of whales.
The pod of Volcanic Waves was driven from their territory by the largest volcano erupting and making their waters unsuitable to live in. The last, Turquoise Sea, was a mixture. Some were hunted by man and sharks, others fell ill and perished, and some vanished entirely. That left only the pod of Auburn Cove, a pod of beluga whales. Young bulls conspired to leave a kind young bull behind because he was becoming increasingly popular for the cows. They did so when the pod migrated, and the bull was the only whale for years. Until now. Now, there are new whales finding their way to the Sea, and life is being kindled again.
